The security of children and staff is a high priority at Camp Whatakid. Our facility is equipped with computerized check in / check out systems and the building has been designed and constructed with top quality surveillance monitoring and security devises.
The Raptor System
With the V-Soft's Raptor system, all visitors must present a valid state Driver's License to the receptionist. The valid ID will be scanned into the V-Soft system and cross-referenced with a database to ensure that the visitor is not a registered sex offender. The system also checks for "private alert" information which has been entered by administration. This might include information such as issues relating to parental custodial cases. Additionally, the scans also would reveal persons with orders of protection or restraining orders.
Check In & Check Out
For administrative and security purposes, all children / families will be registered in our computerized data system. Parents will be given a personalized pin for quick and easy check in and check out. Only persons registered in the database will be permitted to check children in and out from camp.
This summer we are implementing mandatory Kiss N Ride for both drop-off and pick-up. We are trying to cut down on how many people enter the building each day to help stop the spread of COVID-19. We are asking that all parents make appointments if you would like to come in the building for a tour or a meeting with a staff member.
Family Data Profiles
Maintaining accurate family profiles is necessary for security and to enable immediate contact with parents when necessary. Please be accurate with family information when submitting applications and update your personal profile whenever family data changes.
