The Silo Center was assessed by the Fairfax County Police Department in Spring of 2024. We are proud to share that we received their top rating for safety and security.

 

The security of children and staff is a high priority at Camp Whatakid. Our facility is equipped with computerized check-in / check-out systems, and the building has been designed and constructed with top quality surveillance monitoring and security devices.​

We host a very convenient and efficient Kiss & Ride program both mornings and afternoons.​

Family Data Profiles

Maintaining accurate family profiles is necessary for security and to enable immediate contact with parents when necessary. Please be accurate with family information when submitting applications and update your personal profile whenever family data changes.

Door System

All building doors remain locked. Each individual that enters the building must be let inside and checked in at the front desk.

First Aid

Camp Whatakid staff are certified and trained in CPR, First Aid, AED, Medication Administration, EpiPens, and Narcan.

Safety Drills

To ensure the safety of our students, Camp Whatakid conducts monthly fire drills and quarterly shelter in place drills.
